Matters Handeled

I’ve been litigating cases since 1988, when I was first admitted to practice law in New York State. Over the past 38 years, I’ve successfully handled a wide variety of civil, estate and trust matters, from inception, litigation, trial and appeal. I represented the beneficiary of one of the largest, if not the largest, trust and estate matters in Orange County, NY. I’ve filed proceedings to compel executors to account for their actions, and I’ve filed Surrogate Court proceedings to compel estate administrators to compel distributions. I also handle land use and construction cases, including the settlement of one of the largest municipal zoning disputes in the history of the Hudson Valley. While I handle many large and complex cases, I give all clients the time and attention their individual matter deserves.

Extensive Litigation Background

I have been actively litigating cases since 1988, when I was first admitted to practice law in New York State. Throughout my 38 years of experience, I have successfully managed a diverse array of civil, estate, and trust matters. My involvement has spanned every stage of legal proceedings, including case inception, litigation, trial, and appeal.

Trust and Estate Litigation

I represent beneficiaries who haven’t reeceived their estate or trust distributions, and I also represent executors, trustees and administrators in contested Surrogate Court proceedings. In addition, I represnt One of my more estate significant representations involved advocating for the beneficiary of one of the largest—if not the largest—trust and estate matters in Orange County, New York. In addition, I have initiated proceedings to compel executors to provide a full accounting of their actions and have filed Surrogate Court proceedings to require estate administrators to make necessary distributions.

Land Use and Construction Disputes

My legal practice includes land use and construction litigation. I regularly represent clients involved in boundary line disagreements and disputes related to easements, ensuring that their property rights are protected and clarified. Additionally, I represent developers who are contesting decisions by local zoning and planning boards, such as those relating to site plan approvals, land subdivisions, and special use permits. Among my many accomplishments as an attorney was negotiating the settlement of one of the largest municipal zoning disputes in the history of the Hudson Valley.

Business Litigation

Throughout my career, I have managed a wide range of business litigation matters, representing clients in lawsuits both between businesses and among business owners themselves. My experience includes handling business-versus-business disputes, which often center on breach of contract issues and debt collection claims. These cases require careful attention to contractual obligations and the recovery of monies owed.

In addition, I have represented clients in cases involving disagreements among business owners. Such disputes can be especially complex when they involve allegations of fraud or embezzlement, where one owner is accused of misappropriating assets from the others. I am also well-versed in more straightforward matters such as business dissolution, assisting owners who wish to end their business relationship but cannot agree on the appropriate buyout amount for the departing party.

Having successfully resolved numerous business litigation cases over the years, I am equipped with the experience and insight necessary to guide clients through their legal disputes and achieve practical solutions tailored to their needs.

Client-Focused Approach

While I regularly handle large and complex cases, I am committed to ensuring that every client receives the time and attention their unique matter deserves.
